En las calles de Fanzara hay más de 150 intervenciones artísticas, testimonio del trabajo de 73 artistas durante las cinco ediciones de funcionamiento del festival.
El Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano (MIAU) es un proyecto en constante evolución y crecimiento, que nació con la pretensión de ser un movimiento social que fomentase la convivencia entre los vecinos del pequeño pueblo de Fanzara. El proyecto se convirtió rápidamente en una experiencia colectiva de convivencia, colaboración e intercambio recíproco de aprendizaje entre artistas, vecinos, voluntarios y organizadores, todo a través del arte urbano.
El hecho de trasladar el arte urbano más innovador a las paredes del mundo rural, el hacer patente que el arte no sólo debe estar en los museos y que puede formar parte de la vida diaria de las personas, junto a ese espíritu de solidaridad y convivencia entre artistas y vecinos –seña de identidad del MIAU-, es lo que ha originado que este singular museo goce ya de un reconocimiento mundial en el ámbito especializado del arte urbano y sea uno de los más visitados de Europa.
Caminar por las calles de Fanzara supone caminar por el MIAU: un museo sin puertas ni salas en el que poder disfrutar de lo que la fusión entre lo contemporáneo y lo tradicional ha sido capaz de crear en este lugar.
There are more than 150 artistic interventions in Fanzara streets, testimony to the work of 73 artists during the five editions of the festival.
The Museo Inacabado de Arte Urbano MIAU (Unfinished Museum of Urban Art) is a project in constant evolution and growth, which was born with the aim of being a social movement that fostered coexistence among the residents of the small town of Fanzara. The project quickly became a collective experience of coexistence, collaboration and reciprocal exchange of learning between artists, neighbors, volunteers and organizers, all through urban art.
This transfer of the most innovative urban art to the walls of the rural world, making clear that art should not only be in museums but part of the daily life of people, together with that spirit of solidarity and coexistence between artists and citizens - a hallmark of MIAU - is what has given this unique museum worldwide recognition in the specialized field of urban art and made it one of the most visited in Europe.
Walking through the streets of Fanzara means walking through the MIAU: a museum without doors or rooms where you can enjoy what the fusion between the contemporary and the traditional has been able to create in this place.
